WL30DC - Day 7 - Family Support

Does your family know you’re trying to lose weight? Do they care? 

My household does know that I’m trying to lose weight.  However, I’m doing this on my own.  They’re supportive BUT they don’t have the amount of weight to lose that I do.  For them, to lose a pound or two is optional.  At any moment, it’s cake and ice cream and they seem to forget that I’m fighting to lose the weight.  They called me last night on my way home from work asking me to pick up cupcakes or cookies on the way in.  I responded that I was beat and didn’t feel like stopping.  It was the truth, but geez.  The last thing I need now is the temptation of cupcakes and or cookies.  I realize this is MY fight but ehhh… Help a sustah out!

WL30DC - Day 4 - Greatest Fears

What are your greatest fears about weight loss?

My GREATEST fear about weight loss is… GAINING IT BACK.  I’ve been on so many diets throughout my lifetime.  From plans to pills to shakes to elixirs to gadgets and machines, it seems like I’ve done it all.  After each attempt, I seem to fall off the wagon and all those pounds that I’d lost, come running back to me and have the nerve to bring their friends.

I’ve never been thin.  I’ve never been “fit.”  Somehow I have in my mind that once I reach a certain size, I’ll be happier.  But what if I reach that goal size and I’m still not happy?  I know that happiness can’t be conveyed through a 3 digit number on a scale.  I just want to at some point be happy with my figure.

WL30DC - Day 3 - Thinspiration

A picture of your thinsperation. What features do you like about this person?

My “thinspiration” is Jill Scott!  I love her outlook on life and she looks amazing!  Jill is still very curvy and voluptuous, but has truly transformed her body over the years.  She’s an inspiration to me… Not only because of her physical transformation but also because of how she exudes creativity, beauty, strength and success.  Work it, JILL!!!

How tall are you? Do you like your height?

I’m 5’5”. Of course, I wish I was a couple inches taller. WHICH, is another reason why I have to drop the weight. I know I’d be so DIVA in a pair of 3 or 4 inch heels!!!

I haven’t taken measurements, but I’ll probably come back and update this thread after I do so tomorrow. I have taken “before” shots, and will post those when I’m ready.

I’m getting in on this. Seems like a great way to stay focused.
